Some time ago I composed and recorded a piece of music entitled 'Minimalisticism.' It is an invented word but sums up my fascination with all things minimalistic. The CURVEBALL logo is made from a font designed only from semi and quarter circles, with a rule that you don't use a semi if a quarter will do. Minimalism can be a deliberate way of living that counters the burdens of materialism. Minimalism extends into art and music - viewing and listening that allows for self-interpretation, rather than programmatic story telling. Perhaps it is an antidote to the anxiety of complex, complicated modern life. JME
